Well, the Rockets have been doing great! I watched my first game on TNT about a week ago and it was AWESOME to see them on TV and to top it off WE WON OF COURSE!! I have been pretty happy for my boys! BUT…there were about TWO games that were COMPLETELY ROBBED from us and i’m not just saying that because I am a die hard fan..Royce and I were watching the game against the Trailblazers, and it was down to the wire. Houston had the ball..it was 1.2 seconds, 1.1, 1.0, .9, Yao gets the ball, .8 and he shoots and the CLOCK STOPPED AT .8 SECONDS!!! The ball had JUST left his hand when they stopped the clock. Basketball rules are the clock stops AFTER the ball goes through the basket! So that gave the Trailblazers .08 seconds to get Brandon Roy the ball and make a BITTER TASTING 3-pointer to win the game. Ugh! It was a stab in the heart and the WORST CHEATING I HAVE EVER SEEN.. But we have come back and won some amazing games too! We play tomorrow against Miami..we will see how it goes..Tmac has been scoring more, Landry has been stepping up and Yao DOMINATED Dwight Howard last night the “supposed best center” so we are well on our way..and without Battier. Hopefully we will get him back soon…Today I reminisced a little about our championships in the past…i watched youtube video after youtube video…and there were some trashtalkers of course…honestly the Rockets have never gotten the RESPECT and CREDIT they deserve!!!! We win back to back in the early 90’s and those non believers say its because Jordan was out..its true he was..but any other team had a chance to win and the BEST team won..Then we win 22 in a row, and make NBA history with the second longest winning streak in the NBA, and people say its because we played “sucky” teams…I dont see everyone else winning 22 in a row, the Jazz who are one of the best in the west lose to the Grizzlies, we beat the LAKERS, and the HORNETS twice who are also best in the west..ugh..people make me mad…then the people who dis the Rockets are New York Knicks fans!! SERIOUSLY?!!! Then I started reading trash from Jazz fans..and they say we live in the past…but the Jazz are just bitter they havent won a championship. Sure theyve made it further than us the past few years and have carried in the tradition of their mailman by elbowing their way past us to second round, but what does all that matter if they can’t make it further?? Of course we bring it up…they have no room to talk..big deal they get to second round…what do they have to show for it?? I think theyre a good team…but don’t talk the talk if you dont walk the walk…Anyway, the good thing about the Rockets is that we don’t play to proove anything to anyone, we play to win, for our city, and for the fans..forget everyone else. This year will be no different..we will work hard, play hard, and make it out of the first round…to all you NON BELIEVERS OUT THERE…NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION!! GO ROCKETS AND GET RED!!!

HOT HOT HOT…Rockets are doing awesome…Although, we had our first loss last night…They played a heck of a game though, and fought their way the whole time. I was proud of them…It’s been 9 months since we lost at home and the last time was against Boston again when they ended our historic winning streak…Id rather lose to the Celtics than someone like the Jazz..haha…i joke..ok maybe someone like the Clippers..McGrady had a good game, no injuries and 26pts! (: Scola once again surprised us by scoring 21 pts…I love that guy…When we need someone to come through you can count on Scola…Thats why i love the Rockets…we have our “superstars”, but we also have those real superstars that come through when we are down…Artest has also been rather impressive through this all, and I really think the west are shaking in their boots…The other night Rockets played Dallas and when we were winning by 10pts McGrady rested the whole 4th quarter while Artest tore Dallas up…It was amazing…

McGrady on Artest:

It was just fun to not play the fourth quarter and sit back and watch him go to work. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed that.”

While i havent seen a game yet in ol Utah…I have been listening intently to my laptop, and cheering on the Rockets when I can…I did notice the game tomorrow nights on TNT….so i will get to see my Rockets play for the first time this season..I CANT WAIT! I think when i come home after class i will parade around in my Rockets Jersey…(: Tonight, Jazz are playing the Trailblazers, who are our contendors tomorrow…TB have been playing really well..they were up 10 a few times on the Jazz..but Jazz are fighting back…they’ve actually played pretty well since D-Wills been out on an injury. It’s a close game..But I will of course be rooting for Portland…Let me tell you why…Remember the whole thing about my Rockets pumpkin? Nov 1 Jazz were playing and I sat with Royce to watch as soon as pregame started…In the background the Jazz bear decided to take a cheap shot at me and wave a carved jazz bear pumpkin on camera …eh who cares…my pumpkin was way better…Anyway, well I will post again some time this weekend after i watch my first Rockets game,…I CANT WAIT!! Until then…

So this is my first ROCKETS POST!!!! Theres so many things i need to write about!!! First off am very proud of the Rockets so far…We started off the season on a good sneaker beating some good teams, and winning our last 3 games….Tonight is the SEASON OPENER against the Memphis Grizzlies, and we beat them the other night so im sure tonight will be a success!!! Mayor Bill White of Houston has declared today GET RED DAY in honor of opening night. I will definitely be wearing red today to honor that day even from Utah….I”m so pumped and excited about this season. I’m not making any predictions, but i feel confident, and ready in my team this year….THe Rockets arent the only ones preparing for this season…I have upated me ringtone to the Houston Rockets theme song…(check it out on youtube), and have started bringing out my rocket pride with decorations here and there starting with….MY OWN ROCKETS PUMPKIN

This season we aquired Ron Artest along with some other key players, its exciting and despite the negative comments I have heard about Artest’s “attitude” I think thats just what we need to win this season, and to finally get some recognition this year….In lue of all the Rocket excitement, I wanted the Rockets to see I was “Getting Red” from Logan, UT, so I went to www.houstonrockets.com and sent my pumpkin picture to Clutch the Bear….I told him i wanted to share the picture with the team and let them know i had true Rocket Pride…believe it or not….he wrote me back!
